Creating a Healthy Workforce: Turning public health into a return on investment

In this article in HR Director the author discusses businesses rates, which are increasingly delivered directly to local councils. The author highlights that those councils will have an obligation to commit a percentage of the rates to public health. 

Employee health is also looked at and the article states that employee health is a wider issue than merely a financial one. Healthier employees are happier employees and employee happiness is intrinsically linked to productivity and therefore revenue – but it is also related to important issues like business reputation, ease of recruitment and general morale.
