Global and Macro Level Context

Many global arrangements, conventions and patterns affect the health of individuals and communities. These include the increased global movement of people, goods and information; global or regional agreements, treaties and informal arrangements; aid and development financing;  international human rights laws; and conflict and aggression. Some of these factors have positive effects, and some negative, but most offer both opportunities and challenges for global health.

On this page you'll find resources that seek to understand global opportunities and challenges, and offer ways to harness the forces of globalisation and other global factors to positively affect health and reduce health inequalities.
