Summary

This submission, to the Australian North Territory Child Protection Inquiry of the Central Australian Aboriginal Congress, used The Marmot Review to support its efforts to prevent child protection referrals.

The importance of early social environments of children, highlighted in the Marmot Report, are used in the submission to demonstrate the possibilities of crisis intervention and prevention services as part of a comprehensive primary health care strategy.
