IHE are partnering with Barnardos to reduce health inequalities for children and young people. This work is urgent. As the cost of living crisis pushes more and more families into poverty, the impact on the short and long term health of our next generation will be considerable and damaging.
Our Health Equity Collaborative seeks to enable children and young people to live healthy, happy lives, irrespective of the circumstances of their birth, and despite the current economic climate. Over a three year programme, we will co-design a Children and Young People’s Health Equity Framework with ICS, voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) local partners and children and young people. This will be further developed through a dynamic measurement tool that brings in the key local insights around children and young people’s health equity and we will pilot interventions that make a sustainable impact on health and wellbeing outcomes.
We are currently inviting 3 ICSs to take part in this programme over 3 years to co-design a Children and Young People’s Health Equity Framework, with support from children and young people, and Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) partners in the ICS region.
The ICS and Partners Stakeholder Engagement Events on 22nd and 29th September is the ideal opportunity to find out more and ask any questions you may have. Please book your place via Eventbrite: www.bit.ly/BarnardosCYP
