Summary

Addressing Social, Economic and Environmental Determinants of Health and the Health Divide in the Context of Sustainable Human Development.

In order to maximize potential benefits for both health and development, and to prioritize areas for action, it is necessary to take specific steps to integrate health and development.

This publication resulted as part of a project initiated by the UNDP Regional Bureau for Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States in 2013, systematically analyzing whether, how, and in which ways UNDP’s development projects address social, economic and environmental determinants of health and health equity. It provides key insights into how this can be achieved.
