Governance is driven by the changing nature of societies and the challenges they face. Promoting good governance involves actively promoting effective participation systems in all levels of society – engaging people’s creativity, energy and diversity.
The measurement of gains in health equity should be based on indicators and targets that are relevant to the contexts in which they are placed, and take into account varying levels of information availability in different countries and regions. However there should also be efforts made to improve data collection in areas where it is lacking, to better enable measurement.
We work with local, national and global organisations to provide strategic advice and guidance, and to develop indicators that are relevant within specific contexts.
