The institute offered support to the NHS Institute / Department of Health programme, working with early adopter sites and specifically seeking to address the recommendations made in Fair Society Healthy Lives (The Marmot Review).
Healthy Places, Healthy Lives 'enables the accelerated take up and learning from experience, best practice and improvement science to influence commissioners, providers, Health and Wellbeing Boards, and partners in the public sector, and meet the challenges of addressing health inequalities within their own environment.'
